Safe Passage
Men rebuilding after divorce, burnout, job loss, or isolation need judgment-free, always-available support. A bare AI chatbot isn't safe for anything crisis-adjacent, so the companion had to be built with real guardrails, not just a wrapped model.
The Problem
Mental-health-adjacent support products can't just bolt a chat model onto a subscription app. The product needs structured programs a user can actually follow, and the AI layer needs deliberate crisis-awareness and escalation handling built in, not left to the model's default behavior.
What Was Built
A full subscription SaaS platform with six guided Transformation Programs (Rebuild, Fatherhood, Purpose, Relationships, Confidence, and an optional Faith program), private journaling, and community features. Layered on top is The Listener, a crisis-aware AI companion built with explicit escalation handling rather than a raw model wrapper, alongside always-accessible crisis resources.
